I had a phenomenal customer service experience and an AWESOMELY COMFORTABLE CHAIR! Well worth the investment!
Ok, I'm not sure why this chair is listed as new, since I bought one that looks EXACTLY like it, and for the same price, 6 months ago. So, I'm going to give you a long term review of that chair. First of all, lets set the parameters of the review. I weigh between 420 to 425 depending on the day. Attila the Hun was to small farming villages, as I am to office chairs. They don't stand a chance of holding up. I destroy them. But this chair is an entirely different beast. It is supremely comfortable, yet it is built like a tank. I spend an inordinate amount of time in this chair, 7 days a week. I am probably addicted to the internet, and also an avid computer gamer. So, trust me, I have been in this chair far longer than it is humanly healthy to do so. Yet, this chair is so comfortable that on the rare occasion that I tear myself away from my PC to watch a movie or football game, I'll more often than not, remain in this chair, rather than move to my recliner. It is just that comfortable. Notice that this chair has 6 inches of padding, which is more than most of the other chairs on this site. The single most damaging thing I do to chairs is when I drop something, and I have to bend over the arm rest with my incredible bulk to pick it up off the floor. This torque on the arm of the chair, destroys the average chair but not this baby. It doesn't even creak or groan....it is stylish, comfortable, but underneath it all, it is made of some of the heaviest steel parts that I've ever experienced. Even the bolts holding it together are huge and strong. A large allen wrench was included with my chair to tighten them down.
From the minute you start unpacking the easily put together parts, you will appreciate the weight and sturdiness of this chair. Every piece of it is made of thick, heavy, steel that you could drive your truck over without damaging it. And the price from Husky Office is just outstanding. So many companies use your weight as an excuse to gouge you on price and you have to pay that "Fat Guy premium". I searched all over for a chair that could handle my incredible bulk, and the prices were anywhere from $500 to $1000 and up, and almost all of those were rated at 400lbs too. So when I found this chair rated at 500lbs and costing less than $300, I was skeptical of it's quality to say the least. But I couldn't be more happy with this purchase, it's got to be one of the best bang for the buck purchases I've ever made. Bottom line: This chair is awesome, even if you don't weigh as much as I do, it will probably last you a lifetime, it's just that well built.
