onI have been buying my own office chairs for years because the ones at my employer are horrible. I have bought so-called big and tall chairs before, but they are still made of plastic and plywood and the gas cylinder is the same small capacity as all the rest. With regular use by a big guy like me (6'2' 320lbs) the typical chair will fail prematurely no matter what the manufacturer claims.
This chair is made of steel and it appears the back and seat are fiberglass, though I can't tell for sure. It has a heavy duty gas cylinder, which tells me that husky office is really serious about their products. From past experience, I would recommend cloth upholstery since the chair is certainly going to outlast the 'bonded leather' which always starts to crack and peel after a couple of years.
I would give it 10 stars if I could!

Verified PurchaseThis chair is comfortable, does not get too hot, and was really easy to assemble. This is the favorite office chair in my home.

onI am not good at putting things together but this chair was easy. It is comfortable and I am completely satisfied with the chair. At 6' 2" and 280 lbs. most chairs don't last long. This one is used 12-14 hours a day by me and is as comfortable today as it was the day I assembled it.

Verified PurchaseIt is very comfortable to sit in. If it would stay in the reclined position it would be perfect.

onloved the chair found immediately what we were looking for
1 person found the following review helpfulHappy with Husky Office's service and providing me with a very solid chair
onThe last time I bought a chair was about 5 years ago. I was very disappointed with my choices at local stores around that time. I couldn't find anything solidly built and comfortable, so I settled for a mediocre chair. When I began looking a few weeks ago, I was really worried about having the same experience. But I'm happy to say that buying from Husky Office was a great experience. I chose Husky Office over other places because of the reasonable pricing of their chairs and the Free Shipping/Free Returns. I thought if I was thoroughly disappointed with the chair I received I could always return or maybe even get my second choice without cost to me. But the chair I received (in under a week! great free shipping) was exactly as anticipated, in fact better. This chair is solidly built, full metal, and comfortable. It was simple to put together and is large enough for me. I am not close to the weight limit, but I don't feel like this chair is having any issues with my size. The interface on this website was also heads and tails over other chair websites, both in the ease of search criteria and in the details provided on each chair.
All in all, I will recommend Husky Office to any of my friends for well priced, solid, and as advertised chairs. :D

onI order this chair on a Monday and received it the following Monday. Upon unpacking I found that the wheel base was slightly damaged. Looks as if it had been dropped on one end. Not significant enough for a complaint. Assembly was basically easy although sometimes a third hand was needed. During assembly I realized that all screws should not be tighten until the assembly was complete. Helpful if there are two people when attaching the arms and when dropping the chair onto the base. Chair is very sturdy and comfortable. Lowest setting is almost to high for me and I am 6'2". I would have liked the seat to be one inch deeper. Another model would have probably fit my body better. All in all it is a great chair. I would recommend it.
all parts in box, comfortable chair, lame instructions
Verified PurchaseAssembly instructions are a series of 5 drawings with no notes. It takes two people to put the armrests on the chair - no warning about that.1 Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again
Liked the process
Verified PurchaseI ordered the chair for my husband. He liked the fabric but didn't like that the chair didn't lean back any further than it did. For that reason, we returned it. The process was effortless. Thank you!
Very Comfortable, and Quality Construction Though Spring a Bit Stiff
Verified PurchaseI sit for 8-10 hours per day in this, and it's super comfortable on the rear and back. The cloth breathes perfectly and I'm never hot against the fabric unlike leather. Assembly was a snap (did it in about a half hour by myself) and it just reeks of solid construction. Only issue I had was I'm only about 230 lbs and 6'2", and the tilt spring was too stiff even after loosening the knob all the way. After talking with the company a couple of times for a workaround like a new spring of lesser strength, etc. and getting no options to replace it, I opted to just keep it and do some minor adjustments on my own. I loosened the base plate under the seat enough to get shims under making it start more reclined than it's original angle (so I wasn't always fighting with the strong spring issue to tilt back and relax). Then I tightenened the knob fully and loosened fully just to work it out some. To my surprise, it was really good now at the static position and I could tilt it back more with just a light push on the balls of my feet rather than pushing as hard as I could previously. Don't know why this worked, but I'm writing it up so someone else doesn't have to return it due to the stiff spring that they have no replacement lesser strength variant for. It's just too well made to let it go on that one nit. I expect to get at least 10 years out of this gem. And the company was great to work with through all this and I'd strongly recommend them to anyone wanting a high quality, made to last chair.
*Note to others on the returns: DON'T THROW AWAY YOUR BOX before fully vetting this spring thing out. They would have cheerfully refunded me in full if I hadn't boned that part up, so I decided to modify it myself and keep it. In the end, I couldn't find anything on the market half as well made even at almost double the price, so I don't have one bit of buyers remorse here. It was after all, expecting double the load I can produce to be pushing on the back for tilting purposes. Going forward, it would help a lot of others too if the manufacturer would offer several levels of stiffness based on one's weight. I saw a couple of other mentions on this spring issue and thought they must have forgotten to loosen the knob fully, but I was wrong.
I'd have given this a 5 star review but for this spring issue.
Happy trails. :)1 Comment Thank you for your feedback! You already voted Sorry, we failed to record your vote. Please try again
